Gone are the days when you have to clumsily bend and work with that unwieldy appliance better known as a vacuum cleaner. With robotics making its foray into the world of home based electronics, we have had a myriad of smart conceptions starting from automated kitchen tools to ambiance controlling lighting mechanisms. And now the latest technologically evolved product to make it on the exclusive list is a robotic vacuum cleaner that can clean on its own.
Christened as the Kobold VR100 Saugroboter, this state-of-the-art machine is brought to us by Germany based household appliances company Vorwerk. As we mentioned, from the navigation perspective, the vacuum cleaner is fully automated with its specially built-in laser detection space and ground sensors. This means that the contraption is fully aware of the spaces around it, thus intelligently saving itself from falling down the chairs when in an automated mode. Furthermore, it has a full fledged four wheel drive, thus allowing the machine to cross interior obstacles such as carpet edges and even thresholds.
Even beyond the advanced navigation features, the design considerations of the vacuum cleaner have their own set of advantages. Firstly, the Kobold VR100 has a uniquely compact bearing making it easy to access. This is complimented by a very intuitive interface that is simple to follow and thus control the machine. Finally, the charging mechanism is also pretty elementary with a conventional power output. In fact, the machine automatically carries on with cleaning after its charging, as per the course set on its interface (by the user).
