Come CES 2013, and every major electronics giant gears up to showcase their appliances and technological innovations that will rule the future. Whirlpool, the specialist in making home appliances, also took the opportunity to showcase its all new ‘6 Sense Live’ concept, a futuristic technology integration that will allow easy management and control over all your kitchen appliances, while also saving plenty of energy.

These devices can ideally be called the Smart devices of the future. Whirlpool, simply prefers to call them the “Whirlpool 2020”

The two main technological advancements showcased at this year’s CES include ‘The Fireplace’ and ‘The FreshConnect Fridge’. The Fireplace is a responsive device, which will activate on both cooling and heating modes, depending on the items placed on it. There is a standard stove hood over the surface, which reacts accordingly to the items placed.

Not much has been revealed about the FreshConnect Fride. The only estimate we can make is that it will have various compartments and baskets within the main body to keep the food fresh for the longest span of time by manipulating humidity and temperature.

And even though we often come across smart appliances in our day to day lives, Whirlpool wishes to take it all to the next level of application. Other Brands such as Kenwood and LG are also in line, promoting their bandwagons of technology, and it is yet to be seen, which one of them makes it to the top before the others.
