When people develop some kind of hand disabilities, they often need to buy completely new items or use specialized products for eating and drinking purposes. With hand disabilities, it becomes tough to use regular products as it’s not easy to handle the products with comfort. People those are challenged with such hand disabilities need some specialized products to deal with. Alec James, designer from Leicester, United Kingdom has come up with eating and drinking product designs those are made up of recycled cork referred as CorkAid. The grip of CorkAid cutlery adapts itself and fits to cutlery and a cup sleeve that fits around regular coffee cups. These corkAids facilitates people with less hand disability to use items same as other do. Designers have made these useful eating and drinking aids from recycled cork. To make the design successful the CorkAid was made by taking feedback from the experiences of people with reduced hand mobility, and with further research, development and with optimization the natural features of cork, the very useful final product CorkAids has been designed.
