Lux Blocks invented by husband-wife, Micheal and Heather Acerra, are fabricated with the main purpose of providing an advance block game for young and old to build things the way mother nature does. The new and innovative blocks are devised by combining the pioneering technology and nature’s design principles.
The lux blocks give everyone freedom to design a structure that bends, moves and changes shape according to the design and structure requirement. According to Micheal, they wanted to create something that starts the conversation about nature and universe, which in today’s American culture is fading away because the kids are more attached with gadgets and electronics and do not have any understanding about the space and structure.
And, the lux blocks, which are square in shape, connected to each other with the help of hinges on four sides, is a way to educate and reconnect them with nature. The typical square blocks can be shaped into triangle, square, hexagon or pentagon.
To create universal acceptance, the blocks can be used by all ages and can model any structure one can imagine. The kid’s blocks will be available in three different price ranges, i.e., 88 pieces for $29.99, 200 pieces for $69.99 and 360 pieces for $129.99, and the shipment will start in October, 2015.
