7 Tips to Improve Sleep Quality in Your Bedroom

cat sleeping on bed

One of the hardest parts of living with your significant other is, of course, bedtime. One of you may snore and steal the covers; the other might hog the entire bed. Sometimes, instead of sleeping, the night ends in a battle. In this article, we are going to talk about some bedroom upgrades that your partner will love, and so will you! Let’s get started.

Split Mattress

Do you find that you and your partner have completely different tastes when it comes to bedding and furniture? You might find that you prefer a softer mattress, while they prefer something a little firmer. A split mattress is the perfect solution, as you can customize the individual bases to your different needs.

On top of this, a split king mattress can allow you to move homes easier, stop snoring, and even stop you from waking up every time your partner does. You’ll both be able to get a much better night’s sleep while still being able to be close to one another. It’s a win-win!

White Noise Machine

If you are a snorer and know that your partner hates it, a white noise machine can be the perfect device. The different sounds they emit block out the others that can be distracting, allowing both individuals to sleep longer. Not a fan of “white noise”? That’s ok! Most machines come with many different sounds, from ocean waves to a fake heartbeat.

Comforter Cover clips

Does one of you like to steal the covers in the night unknowingly? Then look no further than a pair of comforter cover clips! These bulky duty devices clip right onto the side of your bed and blankets so that you no longer have to have a game of tug-of-war in the night. You’ll improve your sleep, stay warm, and won’t have to have any more fights regarding blanket thieves. They are an affordable way to fix a very common problem.

Google Home in your bedroom

How many times have you and your partner had an argument over who has to get up and turn off the light? Well, with the google home, you don’t have to worry ever again! If you have smart devices in your home, google can connect so that you can control everything from your phone or tablet.

On top of this, you can play music without lifting a finger, set an alarm just with your voice, and call any one of your friends. If google is not your thing, check out the Amazon Echo or Apple HomePod.

Sleep Headphones

If you love to listen to music in the bed, you probably know how annoying it is when your ears keep hurting because of your headphones. They can also fall out in the night, causing you to wake up. Sleep headphones, also known as bedphones or sleepphones, are designed to be as comfy as possible, so you can snooze away for hours on end. They sort of look like a cloth headband and come in a variety of colors in sizes so that you can pick the perfect choice for your significant other.

Wireless Charger

While it might be a minor convenience, sometimes plugging in your phone directly can be a hassle. You have to reach down to find the cord and can fumble around for more than a few minutes in the dark. The solution? A wireless charger, of course! Just pop your smartphone right on top, and you don’t have to worry about anything else. It also makes your bedside table look way neater. It’s definitely a great choice for all you tech-lovers out there (even though you shouldn’t really have tech in the bedroom).

Mini Fridge

Last on the list, a definite splurge but a fun one, a mini-fridge can be a great option if you and your partner like to spend your weekends in the bed. They don’t take up a lot of room, and you can stock all of your favorite goodies. From drinks, chocolate, and desserts, you’ll never have to leave the bed again!

And that’s it! These were some different bedroom upgrades that your partner will love! Some of these are incredibly affordable, while others are a little more on the pricey side, but if you are looking for a perfect night’s sleep, they can definitely be worth it. What do you think? Would you try out any of these bedroom gadgets?
