Are you someone who longs to have an aquarium at home, but cannot have one simply because of fear the fish would die if not fed from time to time? Sphere Corporations has a designer aquarium with robotic fish to satiate your desire.
The capsule-shaped wireless induction-powered aquarium is completely durable and self-sufficient. Inside the gorgeous aquarium is the world first wireless induction-powered robotic pet – the LumiPUFF fish, which swims and reacts like a real fish without any battery or external power.
The fish and the aquarium operate directly via wireless power transferred from the base of the capsule tank (no battery required). The aquarium and the fish have an infrared communication system to interact with each other.
Within the capsule aquarium the LumiPUFF fish reacts to any tap on the aquarium, and swims away, just like a fish would – behaving like a real fish in an aquarium.
For increased interaction with the fish and the tank, you can connect the capsule with your smartphone via Bluetooth. You can then remotely control the fish and the tank, to change the color and light effects (the tank and fish have many lighting motions and controls).
Interestingly, the LumiPUFF fish glows up when the smartphone connected with the aquarium receives notification.
The aquarium being light sensitive, automatically dims in low-light environment. Expected to be made available in beginning of May 2015 at $169 (early buyer price), the wireless aquarium will actually retail for $269.
