Infusion vessel – the very term brings forth those fanciful visions of gourmets concocting their specialty fares from aromatic ingredients, herbs, liquors and what not; all in a single container. In essence, it is an object tailored to sate the culinary-inspired aficionado inside you. Well, the above pictured La Ventana (from Dale Rorabaugh) generously fulfills this romantic notion, and that too with a visual flair of its own.
In terms of usability, the gorgeous looking infusion vessel allows you to make a variety of culinary fusions, including – cocktails, vinegar, tea, coffee, oils and even lemonade. But as we mentioned before, it is not only about the preparation of the item, but also about its refined presentation – that makes the transition to full fledged food art.
To that end, the La Ventana boasts of five custom-made inserts for creating your personalized food art within the container. These inserts (in patterns like linear, non-concentric, heart, spoke and concentric) are specifically designed to aid in the positioning of the ingredients, which allows them to be displayed in a proper or rather artistic manner.
And, since the visual scale forms an integral part of the scope, the food arrangements inside the transparent vessel are further accentuated by a special a 32 LED ring system. This wondrous effect of light and art does play its role in projecting the essence of ‘joie de vivre’ emerging from the variant food fusions.
Now, the aim of the La Ventana might allude to the aesthetic spectacle that forms a part of your kitchen or living room decor. But the core attributes of the infusion vessel are not sacrificed in favor of show. In this regard, sturdy materials like tempered glass, polycarbonate, aluminum channels and silicone gaskets are used for the contrivance. Moreover, functional (albeit inconspicuous) features like rectangular aeration spouts are also incorporated for allowance of air escape when the user is filling the container.
So, at the end of the day, the ambit is all about the evolved ‘finer’ side of affairs in the culinary world. However, the refined scope is always aided by practical aspects that makes the job of the user both easier and streamlined.
The La Ventana is currently going through its Kickstarter campaign, with pricing starting from $135.
