Designer Leonardo Talarico has come up with first ever TOFU chair which is made from soy bean curd. To make a sturdy seat Talarico dehydrated the tofu blocks and further submitted those tofu blocks to a dose of thermal shock to make a chair that is suitable to vegetarians.
Designer took a challenge to create furniture piece from this soft and edible substance. With the qualities like Nutrient-rich, spongy and soft; designer successfully tests tofu to create this furniture item.
After dehydrating each tofu piece designer structured tofu into a building block in the form of a chair. Now thermal shock treatment was applied strengthen the medium, rendering vegetarians’. Now with many layers the front, seat and chair back were created. Thereafter, some natural color was added to tofu surface to make it look as if it was just fried. Hmmmm this furniture is just yumm!
