If you’ve fancied Aladdin’s magical carpet, and wanted one for yourself, the time has come. Cypriot designer Stelios Mousarris has designed such carpet in collaboration with artist Jan Blythe. The carpet looks like it can fly, but it won’t. It is a designer chair which gives the appearance of bending a carpet into a seating piece of furniture.
It has been designed on the pattern of a Persian carpet. Buyers will have a choice in pattern and style. For customized carpets, Mousarris and Blythe will need 4 months to get it hand weaved and then turned into a flying carpet. Also, being designer in nature, the chair is available at a fairly high price. It will cost you around USD $13,000 to bring it home.
