Pizza is back in the furniture vogue, and it is better than ever! For those who were unsatisfied by just a paltry pizza seat, artist/designer Claire Manganiello has notched it up to a more delectably expansive level. She has managed to whip up an entire Pizza Bed set that boasts of ‘crusted’ pillow cases, bed-sheet draped in oozing tomato sauce and a comforter with the lip-smacking combo of cheese and pepperoni.
Of course, not one of these ‘condiments’ are actually edible – but they surely can aid you in dreaming about food while you are being wrapped in faux food. Unfortunately Claire Manganiello’s Pizza Bed is still a part of an art installment, as opposed to the purchasable Pizza Seat. However, we will keep our fingers crossed for the design to see the commercial light of the day; and until then you can take a gander at the eight fascinating examples of food-inspired furniture.
