Gone are the days when only excessively extravagant kitchenware made for good kitchens. With minimalism and micro-living making a splash in modern architecture, you may need to start thinking about re-modelling your kitchen. And, to tilt your thought towards ditching those mammoth kitchen counters and bulky shelves, we have the mobile ‘Concept Kitchen’. Designed by Kilian Schindler, the system is surprisingly space-saving, flexible and also practical.
Created for the German kitchen accessories studio Naber, the Concept Kitchen is basically a versatile modular kitchen system consisting of adaptable compact kitchen units. Each of five individual worktops comes with integrated gas stove-top, sink, butcher block, technology tower or a storage rack.
These portable, stainless steel modules are connected via simple plug-ins to form a durable, compact kitchen system. All of the separate elements are provided with grid holes that allow extra shelves to be added, if need arises. The serene white colour of these units instantly brightens up your kitchen and makes it look more spacious.
The nifty Concept Kitchen system can be personalized to include as many of these units as you want. The user-oriented modules can be alternately used as storage shelves, bookshelves and even living room furniture.
On the one hand, the highly functional and straightforward design of Naber’s Concept Kitchen is perfect for those who wish to transition to minimalism. Being flexible and compact, on the other, it is great for those cramped for space.
