Artisans are leaving their traditions and towns behind and migrate to cities for better work opportunities and for better lifestyle. As we know that Mexico is rich in its tradition, colors as well as for crafts. Eduardo Diaz Tostado, a Designer from Distrito Federal, Mexico has designed this Piltsintli seat which is a best combination of contemporary design with traditional materials. Material used to frame this seat is plywood, a steel frame, “rebozos” and “cana”. Rebozos are used by Mexican women to carry the newborn or baby; these are colorful pieces of fabric. Cana is a known root that is braided in many styles which makes seating more comfortable.
