Multi-functional sofas have always enticed with their broader range of applications that are apt for contemporary home decor. However, the adaptable LOOL sofa stands part from its ‘multi-functional’ peers by actually improving upon the all-purpose scope with a definitive style quotient of its own.
Created by the collaborative effort of Michele Franzina and VHD for Italian studio Design You Edit, the LOOL conception can be transformed and arranged into different forms to suit your purpose and decor preference. For example, you can easily shift around the backrest and armrest components along the comfy surface of the sofa.
There is also separate ‘plug in’ system by which the user can actually anchor an entire small table by positioning its legs into the recessed tufts. And, if you thought that was all; the user based customization can also be achieved by mixing up different color schemes that vary between green and brown.
However, quite ironically, the multi-purpose credentials are not necessarily the best features of the LOOL sofa. For us, it is the chic, retro look of the furniture that seriously notches up on the visual scope. Harking back to the swinging 60’s with its tear drop shape, the conception also boasts of some design pedigree with centuries-old Italian capitonnè style quilting.
Finally, the ‘cherry on top’ of all of these exquisite attributes is the alluring nature of leather (also available in fabric) that takes LOOL from a good looking furniture piece to an attractive and comfortable furniture piece.
