Is it a pouf? Is it a storage unit? No, it is a storage pouf! The so-named Loblò pouf by designer Antonio Onorati, is a cute contrivance that also fulfills the practical quotient.
The cushy yet compact structure is actually made from a sturdy wooden framework that is amply padded with polyurethane foam, and then aptly upholstered in an eco-friendly fabric (comprising of a composite of 75 percent cotton, 20 percent acrylic and 5 percent other fibers). The low impact nature of the furniture also extends to its manufacturing scope, with the implementation of sustainable processes (like zero dyeing), along with saving water and energy.
However, the piece de resistance of the Loblò pouf is arguably its storing credentials. You can simply relax on the pouf, while keeping your ‘leisure-aiding’ objects inside the seat. For example, reading a book for an extended period can surely make one hungry, and as a solution you can keep your precious box of chocolates or donuts in the hidden chest.
So, at the end of the day, the Loblò pouf does exhibit its affable aesthetics, while also making a statement of design practicality.
