We have had our trysts with many a pet furniture design. But what about a pet-shaped furniture? Well, the deftly designed Chucho from Emilio Alarcón, fulfills this whimsical quotient with its embodiment mimicking that of a dog. However, beyond its ‘organic’ shape, the design is envisaged as a functional cardboard organizer for storing a range of small household objects.
As we can make out the images, the Chucho boasts of an arrangement of segmentation that are tailored to keeping tiny objects like smartphones, paper notepads, pencils and even car keys. One can also use it as a decor piece by displaying a host of novelty items along the ‘racks’ of the sculptural dog.
Finally, coming to the commercial side of affairs, the Chucho is available in four types of dog shapes – French Bulldog, Dachshund, Labrador and Chihuahua. So, if you are all up for a static canine companion with a functional/sculptural value, do give a gander at the online retail site (prices ranging from €20 or $24 to €50 or $60).
