This festive season we came across several creative Christmas tree designs. Be it “Knitted Christmas Tree” or the snowing Christmas tree, or any other. But what caught our attention most was the “Consumerist Christmas Tree.”
Not only does it feature an impressive design, but also aims to spread awareness about increased use of plastic bags during the holiday season and its impact on the environment.
The ‘Consumerist Christmas Tree’ was a part of Durham’s Lumiere festival. It is a nine-meter high luminous Christmas tree, which is made of 3,000 plastic bags and installed in Durham, England by Luzinterruptus.
Luzinterruptus collected around 4,000 plastic bags by inviting people to donate plastic bags in return for a cloth bags.
